What people email me about

Questions about something I wrote. Disagreements with something I wrote. Recipe failures and victories. Recommendations for things I might like (often: knives, sourdough advice, dog gear). Sponsorship inquiries from brands — yes, occasionally, but I'm picky.

What I'm not

I'm not a professional cooking instructor, dietician, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or therapist. If you're emailing me with a question that should go to one of those people, please go to one of those people.

For brands

I work with one or two brands per quarter on sponsored editorial. Format is a long-form essay published here, sometimes a follow-up piece. I write it; the brand pays a flat fee and an affiliate commission. I have product approval rights — I won't write a positive review of a product I'd recommend against. If that works for your brand, email me with "Sponsorship" in the subject and tell me about the product.
